Days Creek Wolves Softball 18-20 Lost River

Two runs made all the difference as Days Creek came up just short in a wild 20-18 softball loss to Lost River at home Thursday afternoon. The high-scoring affair saw both teams combine for 38 runs in what turned into an offensive showcase at the Days Creek diamond.

The Wolves battled throughout the contest, matching Lost River nearly blow-for-blow in the back-and-forth slugfest. Despite the offensive firepower on display, Days Creek couldn't quite find the timely hits needed to pull ahead in the final innings.

The loss drops Days Creek to 5-5 overall but the team remains in solid position with a 4-2 conference record. With league play still offering plenty of opportunities, the Wolves have shown they can compete with anyone when the bats are hot.

Days Creek will look to bounce back and get back to .500 in their next outing. The offensive explosion against Lost River proves this team has the capability to put up runs in bunches when needed.
