Douglas Trojans Girls Soccer 5-0 Glide

Douglas girls soccer picked up a convincing 5-0 road victory over Glide on Thursday, giving the Winston, Oregon, program a much-needed boost in 3A/2A/1A-SD3 Special District 3 play. The Tigers dominated from the opening whistle, holding Glide scoreless while finding the net five times on Glide's home pitch. The shutout win snapped a tough stretch for Douglas, improving the squad to 3-9 overall and 3-7 in league play. While the season has presented challenges, Thursday's performance showed the Tigers can put together a complete game on both ends of the field. A five-goal output on the road is no small feat, and the clean sheet from the Douglas backline and goalkeeper gave the program a confidence boost at a critical point in the year. With the fall season winding down, Douglas will look to carry this momentum into its remaining league matches and finish the campaign on a strong note.
