Douglas turned a conference softball matchup into a statement victory Thursday afternoon, overwhelming Coquille 16-1 at home in dominant fashion. The Trojans exploded offensively against the Red Devils, capitalizing on scoring opportunities throughout the contest to secure their most lopsided win of the season.

The victory moves Douglas to 4-3 overall and a perfect 2-0 in conference play, positioning the team well as league competition intensifies. After an inconsistent start to the campaign, the Trojans appear to be finding their rhythm at the right time.

While Coquille managed just one run against Douglas pitching, the Trojans' offense was relentless, stringing together hits and manufacturing runs in multiple innings. The 15-run margin of victory demonstrated the kind of complete performance Douglas has been building toward.

The conference schedule continues to be demanding, but performances like Thursday's showcase the Trojans' potential when all phases of their game come together. Douglas will look to maintain this momentum as they pursue their league championship goals in the coming weeks.
