Glendale Pirates Softball 16-17 Riddle / Days Creek
A wild offensive showcase ended in heartbreak for Glendale softball Monday afternoon, as the Grizzlies fell 17-16 in a back-and-forth battle at Riddle/Days Creek. The two teams combined for 33 runs in what became one of the most entertaining games of the spring season.
Glendale kept pace throughout the contest, matching their hosts nearly run for run in an offensive explosion that saw both pitching staffs struggle to find rhythm. The Grizzlies showed tremendous fight, repeatedly answering Riddle/Days Creek's scoring bursts to keep the game within reach until the final out.
Despite the loss, Glendale's ability to generate runs demonstrates the offensive potential that could serve them well down the stretch. The defeat drops the Grizzlies to 5-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play, keeping them squarely in the middle of the league standings.
With league play heating up, Glendale will look to bounce back from this narrow defeat and channel their offensive production into their next outing as the regular season winds toward its conclusion.
