Glide Wildcats Football 49-14 Oakland

Glide football improved to a perfect 8-0 on the season Friday night, routing Oakland 49-14 in a league contest played at home in Glide, Oregon. The lopsided margin left little doubt, as the Wildcats controlled the game from start to finish and handed Oakland a decisive defeat. The 35-point victory continues what has been a dominant fall campaign for Glide, which has now won all four of its league games to sit at 4-0 in conference play. The offense generated points in bunches, putting up 49 against an Oakland squad that could not find an answer for the Wildcat attack. Defensively, holding an opponent to just 14 points kept the shutout bid alive deep into the contest and reflected the kind of two-way commitment that has defined this Glide team all season. With the regular season nearing its end, the Wildcats find themselves in strong position heading into the final stretch, and playoff implications will come sharply into focus over the coming weeks.
