Riddle Irish Softball 18-20 Lost River

Two runs made all the difference in a wild offensive battle as Riddle softball dropped a 20-18 decision to Lost River at home Friday afternoon. The Irish and Lakers combined for 38 runs in what became one of the highest-scoring league contests of the spring season.

Both offenses found their rhythm early and never let up, with scoring coming in bunches throughout the contest. Despite the loss, Riddle showed tremendous fight, matching Lost River nearly run-for-run in the back-and-forth affair.

The defeat drops the Irish to 6-5 overall but they maintain a strong 5-2 conference record with league play winding down. Friday's offensive explosion demonstrated Riddle's ability to produce runs, though defensive consistency will be key moving forward.

With the regular season entering its final stretch, the Irish remain well-positioned in league standings. Coach and players will look to carry the offensive momentum from this game while tightening up defensively as they prepare for their next conference matchup.
