UVC Monarchs Softball 2-12 Burns / Crane

The runs came early and often for visiting Burns/Crane as the Huskies handed Umpqua Valley Christian a 12-2 softball defeat Saturday afternoon. The Monarchs struggled to contain Burns/Crane's offensive attack in what turned into a challenging non-league contest at home.
Umpqua Valley Christian managed just two runs against the Huskies' pitching staff, unable to generate the consistent hitting needed to stay competitive. Burns/Crane pulled away with a steady offensive approach that put pressure on the Monarchs' defense throughout the game.
The loss drops Umpqua Valley Christian to 2-3 on the young season as they continue working through early-season adjustments. While the scoreboard wasn't favorable, these non-league matchups provide valuable experience for a squad still finding its rhythm.
The Monarchs will look to bounce back quickly as they prepare for their next outing. With most of the season still ahead, there's plenty of opportunity for this team to build momentum and show improvement in upcoming contests.
