Crosshill Christian edged Umpqua Valley Christian 7-6 in a tight non-league baseball contest Monday at Crosshill Christian. The Monarchs from Roseburg, Oregon suffered their first loss in over a month as they compete in the 1A classification.

Umpqua Valley Christian entered the game with an impressive 19-5 record but couldn't quite complete the comeback in this road matchup. The one-run defeat drops the Monarchs to 19-6 overall while maintaining their perfect 15-0 conference record.

Despite the setback, Umpqua Valley Christian has put together an outstanding spring campaign with just six losses through 25 games. The team's conference dominance remains intact as they continue to control their own destiny in league play.

The Monarchs have shown resilience throughout the season, and this non-league result won't impact their conference standings. With their league record unblemished, Umpqua Valley Christian remains in excellent position heading into the final stretch of the regular season. The team will look to bounce back in their next outing.
