Despite a spirited offensive showing, Yoncalla couldn't quite keep pace with Harrisburg in a wild 13-10 softball loss on the road Monday afternoon. The Eagles put up double digits for the first time this season but came up just short in the high-scoring non-league battle.

Both teams found their rhythm at the plate early, with the game turning into an offensive showcase that saw 23 total runs cross home plate. Yoncalla matched Harrisburg blow-for-blow through much of the contest, showing the kind of explosive potential that could serve them well as the season progresses.

While the loss drops the Eagles to 1-7 overall, the offensive breakthrough represents a positive step forward for a young squad still finding its identity. The ability to manufacture 10 runs against quality pitching suggests better days may be ahead.

Yoncalla will look to build on this offensive momentum when they return to action later this week, hoping to translate that production into more wins as they continue their spring campaign.
