About this program
The YMCA of Douglas County Pre-Competitive Swim Club is for swimmers ages 6 to 16 who are ready for stroke technique, starts and turns, and conditioning in a competitive training setting. A tryout is required: swimmers demonstrate a 25-yard freestyle with side breathing and a 25-yard backstroke. Two summer sessions run Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Session A runs June 15 to July 16, and Session B runs July 20 to August 27. Tryouts are held on select dates through the summer.
