South Umpqua Lancers Girls Soccer 0-8 Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove claimed an 8-0 girls soccer victory over South Umpqua on Thursday, handing the Lancers a decisive defeat in 4A-4 Sky-Em League play. South Umpqua, based in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, made the road trip to Cottage Grove and found the Lions difficult to contain across 80 minutes of play, as Cottage Grove found the net eight times while keeping South Umpqua off the scoreboard entirely. The shutout loss drops the Lancers to 0-15-1 overall and 0-10 in league play on the season. Despite the challenging stretch, the Lancers have continued to compete in a tough Sky-Em League schedule that has tested the roster week after week. With the regular season winding down, South Umpqua will look to finish strong and give its players meaningful experience heading into the offseason. The Lancers' next scheduled contest will offer another opportunity to build on the lessons learned throughout this campaign.
