Douglas Trojans Boys Soccer 1-4 Lost River / Bonanza

Lost River handed Douglas a 4-1 defeat in boys soccer Thursday evening, dropping the Trojans to 0-8 on the season in Far West League (3A) play. The Winston, Oregon squad made the road trip to face Lost River / Bonanza, but the host Monarchs proved too strong on their home pitch, pulling away with a four-goal performance. Douglas managed to find the back of the net once, showing a measure of fight despite the lopsided final, but the Trojans could not generate enough consistent pressure to close the gap. The Far West League has been a tough proving ground for Douglas this fall, as the team continues to search for its first win of the year at 0-8 in conference. Still, moments like that lone goal give the program something to build on as the season moves forward. Douglas returns home to Winston and will look to carry that competitive spirit into its next Far West League matchup.
