Douglas Trojans Girls Soccer 0-8 St. Mary's, Medford

St. Mary's of Medford handed the Douglas girls soccer team an 8-0 defeat Thursday evening in Far West League (3A) play, a tough road result for the Tigers out of Winston, Oregon. The loss drops Douglas to 1-7 overall and 1-5 in conference as the season enters its final stretch.

Facing a strong St. Mary's side on their home pitch, Douglas found little room to generate offense and absorbed significant pressure throughout the match. The eight-goal margin reflects the challenge of playing one of the league's more established programs away from home.

Despite the difficult night, the Tigers have shown resilience in staying competitive in a demanding 3A schedule. There are still opportunities ahead to finish the season on a stronger note and build momentum heading into the offseason.

Douglas will look to regroup quickly and refocus before their next scheduled match. Keep an eye on Roseburg Sports Hub for updated game information as the Far West League season winds down.
