Douglas Trojans Girls Volleyball 3-1 Sutherlin

Douglas volleyball picked up a gutsy road victory Tuesday, defeating Sutherlin 3-1 in a Far West League (3A) matchup to improve the Trojans' season record to 4-10 overall and 2-8 in conference play. The Winston, Oregon, program made the trip to Sutherlin and returned home with all three points, snapping what had been a challenging stretch of the schedule.

Winning on the road in league play is never easy, and the Trojans showed enough resilience to take three of four sets against the Bulldogs. The 3-1 set victory signals a competitive unit capable of executing when it counts, even if the overall record reflects the difficulty of this season's slate.

With the Far West League standings still sorting themselves out as the postseason approaches, every conference win carries real weight for Douglas. The Trojans will look to build on this result and carry the momentum into their next matchup as the final weeks of the regular season wind down.
