Elkton rolled to a dominant 60-0 road victory over Gilchrist on Friday night, keeping the Elks undefeated in Skyline League (1A) play. The Elkton, Oregon-based program made the trip to Gilchrist and left no doubt, shutting out the host Cougars in a lopsided league football contest. With the win, Elkton improves to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play, firmly establishing themselves as one of the teams to beat in the Skyline League this fall. The 60-point margin speaks to a balanced effort on both sides of the ball, as the Elks offense generated points in bunches while the defense held Gilchrist completely off the scoreboard. It is the kind of statement win that builds momentum and confidence heading into the heart of the schedule. Elkton will look to carry that energy forward as league competition stiffens and the push toward the postseason intensifies in the weeks ahead.
