Elkton Elks Football 54-33 Powers

Elkton's football team kept its perfect season intact Friday night, knocking off Powers 54-33 in a Skyline League (1A) home contest in Elkton, Oregon. The Elks moved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in league play with the convincing 21-point victory. Elkton controlled much of the evening on both sides of the ball, putting up 54 points against a Powers squad that came in with its own postseason ambitions. The Beavers made things interesting, answering with 33 points of their own, but the Elks consistently found ways to extend the margin when it mattered most. For a program that has built its identity around competing deep into October, this kind of statement win over a league opponent carries real weight. The Skyline League race remains in Elkton's hands as the regular season winds toward its finish. The Elks will look to carry this momentum into next week as they continue their push toward a league title and a strong playoff seed.
