Douglas Trojans Girls Volleyball 0-3 Glide

Glide handed the Douglas volleyball program a 3-0 sweep on Thursday evening in Winston, Oregon, in a Far West League (3A) matchup that dropped the Trojans to 2-9 overall and 0-7 in league play. Without a detailed box score available, the straight-sets result speaks to the challenge Douglas faced against a Glide squad that controlled the tempo throughout the evening. The Trojans have faced a demanding schedule this fall, and Thursday's home loss adds another difficult data point to a season where they continue searching for answers in conference play. Despite the result, playing at home in front of the Winston community gave the team an opportunity to compete in a familiar setting, and those moments of development matter for a young program grinding through a tough stretch of the schedule. Douglas will look to find its footing as the Far West League calendar continues. The Trojans return to action next week with an opportunity to build momentum before the postseason picture comes into focus.
