Sutherlin Bulldogs Boys Soccer 0-1 Brookings-Harbor

A single goal was the difference Tuesday as Brookings-Harbor edged Sutherlin 1-0 in a Far West League (3A) boys soccer contest played on the coast. The Bulldogs of Sutherlin, Oregon, made the long road trip to face the Bruins but came up short in a tight, low-scoring affair that kept the hosts in control from the final tally.

The 1-0 result drops Sutherlin to 5-5-4 overall and 3-4 in league play. With the season entering its final stretch, every conference result carries added weight in the Far West League standings, and Tuesday's narrow loss makes the path forward a bit steeper for the Bulldogs.

Sutherlin showed enough to keep the match competitive throughout, but converting opportunities proved elusive against a Brookings-Harbor side that protected its slim lead well.
