Sutherlin's football team left no doubt on the road Friday night, defeating Brookings-Harbor 31-7 to strengthen its Far West League (3A) standing. The Bulldogs of Sutherlin, Oregon, made the long trip south and returned with a convincing victory that moves them to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. The 24-point margin reflected a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, as Sutherlin's offense generated consistent production while the defense held Brookings-Harbor's attack largely in check throughout the evening. A road environment can often level the playing field at this stage of the season, but the Bulldogs handled the challenge with composure and physicality. The win builds on an already strong 2026 campaign and positions Sutherlin well within the Far West League race as the postseason picture begins to take shape. The Bulldogs will look to carry that momentum into next week's action and continue pushing toward a league title and a favorable playoff seeding.
