UVC Monarchs Boys Soccer 3-0 Gold Beach

Umpqua Valley Christian picked up a clean sheet on the road Tuesday, defeating Gold Beach 2-0 in a 1A league boys soccer match. The Eagles, based in Roseburg, Oregon, made the trip to the southern coast and came away with a result that keeps their conference slate unblemished.

The shutout victory moved UVC to 4-2 overall on the season and a perfect 2-0 in league play. Holding Gold Beach scoreless on their home pitch is no small thing, and the Eagles defense rose to the occasion from start to finish. The two goals gave the attack enough cushion to let the backline work with confidence through the final whistle.

With the conference slate just getting underway, Tuesday's result puts Umpqua Valley Christian in a strong position as league competition heats up. The Eagles will look to carry that defensive intensity and road-game mentality into their next fixture and continue building toward a postseason run.
