UVC Monarchs Boys Soccer 8-0 Gold Beach

Umpqua Valley Christian made a commanding statement in 1A boys soccer Thursday, rolling past Gold Beach 8-0 on their home pitch in Roseburg, Oregon. The lopsided victory moves the Eagles to 7-3 overall and a solid 5-1 in league play, keeping them well positioned in the conference standings as the postseason approaches. Gold Beach had no answers for the Eagles' attack from the opening whistle, as UVC controlled possession and created scoring chances consistently throughout the match. The shutout win reflected strong defensive discipline as much as offensive firepower, with the Eagles denying Gold Beach any meaningful opportunity to find the net. For a program competing at the 1A level, results like this carry weight heading into the final stretch of the regular season. With the league race still unfolding, every conference point matters, and Thursday's performance reinforced that UVC intends to be a factor when the playoffs arrive. The Eagles return to action next week with momentum firmly on their side.
