Final
LAway · Steve Garett Memorial Tournament - Quinton Street Ballpark The Dalles

The road proved unforgiving for Yoncalla softball Thursday as the Eagles absorbed a 15-0 defeat against Scio in non-league play. The lopsided loss extends Yoncalla's challenging start to the season, dropping their record to 0-3.

Scio's offense proved too much for the Eagles to handle, plating runs consistently throughout the contest. The home team's balanced attack kept Yoncalla on its heels defensively while simultaneously shutting down the Eagles' batting order.

Through three games, Yoncalla continues searching for its first breakthrough performance of the spring campaign. The early-season struggles provide valuable learning opportunities for a squad looking to build chemistry and establish its identity.

While the scoreboard wasn't favorable, these non-league contests serve as important preparation for when league play begins. Coach and players alike will use this experience to identify areas for improvement as they work toward more competitive outings.

The Eagles return to action looking to break into the win column and show the progress they've been building in practice. Each game presents a new opportunity to demonstrate growth.
