About this program

Doug Rec's 2027 winter basketball season is open for 1st and 2nd graders in a combined co-ed division. Registration closes December 4, 2026, and costs $50. Games are on Saturdays starting in January 2027; Doug Rec has not announced exact dates yet. Practices are generally 2-3 days a week, with days set by coach and gym availability. Because gym space is limited and Doug Rec wants to keep team sizes manageable, priority goes to kids in the Winston-Dillard and Camas Valley school districts. Doug Rec says it cannot guarantee spots for Roseburg School District students and encourages those families to register through the Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley instead.
