Girls Basketball, Grades 3-6

About this program

Doug Rec's 2027 winter basketball season is open for girls in grades 3 through 6. Registration closes December 4, 2026, and costs $75. Divisions are 3rd grade, combined 4th/5th grade, and 6th grade. Doug Rec plays in a league with the Boys & Girls Club, so games are held at gyms throughout Douglas County. Games are on Saturdays beginning January 16, 2027, and the season runs 7 weeks including an end-of-season tournament. Practices are generally 2-3 days a week, with days set by coach and gym availability. Because gym space is limited and Doug Rec wants to keep team sizes manageable, priority goes to kids in the Winston-Dillard and Camas Valley school districts. Doug Rec says it cannot guarantee spots for Roseburg School District students and encourages those families to register through the Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley instead. A mail-in form and a possible in-person registration date are planned closer to December. Doug Rec has not listed practice locations or specific game sites. Register at dougrec.com/registration.
