Mt Hood's Brayden Sievertsen dominated the Riverhawks through seven innings, allowing just six hits while striking out five in a 7-2 conference baseball victory on Tuesday at Mt Hood.

The Saints pitcher controlled the game from the start, holding UCC scoreless through four innings before the Riverhawks finally broke through in the fifth. Trevor Ratliff delivered an RBI single, followed by Taylor Davis driving home another run in the sixth to account for UCC's only scoring.

Tristan Schaefer provided the brightest spot for the Riverhawks' offense, going 2-for-4 from the leadoff position and scoring one of UCC's two runs. Ratliff, Davis, Jaxon Marble and Caden Kuhnert each contributed singles in the losing effort.

Mt Hood seized control early with single runs in the first two innings, then broke the game open with a three-run fourth inning. Kyle Slater led the Saints' attack, reaching base five times while scoring three runs and driving in one.

Starting pitcher Camden Hartsell took the loss for UCC despite allowing just two earned runs over his first four innings of work. The Riverhawks used four pitchers in the contest, with Ty Hellenthal providing three solid innings of relief.

The loss drops UCC to 22-13 overall as conference play intensifies. The Riverhawks will look to bounce back in their next outing as they continue battling for playoff positioning in the final stretch of the regular season.
