Glide Wildcats Girls Soccer 0-8 Lost River / Bonanza

Lost River/Bonanza handed Glide a difficult 8-0 defeat Thursday evening in 2A league girls soccer, sending the Glide, Oregon-based Falcons to 0-5 on the season. The road trip to Lost River/Bonanza proved challenging from the start, as the host side built an insurmountable advantage and controlled the match throughout. For Glide, the shutout loss reflects the growing pains of a young season against competitive 2A opposition. The Falcons have shown up and competed each week, and league play provides the kind of nightly test that builds character and experience for a program working to find its footing. While the scoreline was tough to absorb, every minute on the pitch adds to the development the coaching staff is looking for. Glide will look to regroup this week, refocus in training, and bring renewed energy into their next outing. The Falcons still have time remaining in the 2A schedule to turn the page and put points on the board.
