Linn-Benton came to Douglas County looking to make a statement, but the Riverhawks had other plans in a commanding 9-2 baseball victory on Wednesday.

UCC's offense erupted for nine runs on 10 hits, with Jackson Thomsen leading the charge from the top of the order. The sophomore second baseman went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, consistently setting the table for the Riverhawks' big innings. Aiden Metzker provided the power behind Thomsen, driving in two RBIs while reaching base four times.

The Riverhawks broke things open with a three-run fifth inning, then added three more in the sixth to put the game away. Jeremiah Robbins and Caden Kuhnert each contributed two RBIs in the offensive explosion.

On the mound, Beau Ramsey dominated Linn-Benton's lineup through seven innings of work. The right-hander scattered just three hits while striking out seven batters, allowing only two unearned runs in the sixth inning. Tyler Miller closed out the final two frames with precision.

Linn-Benton managed just four hits against UCC's pitching staff, with Jack Lussier providing their lone RBI and run scored before the sixth-inning rally.

The victory improves the Riverhawks to 16-6 overall as conference play heats up. With their offense clicking and Ramsey dealing on the mound, UCC looks poised for a strong stretch run as they continue building toward postseason positioning.
