UCC Riverhawks Baseball 2-3 Clackamas

The UCC Riverhawks saw their overall record move to 21-11 after dropping a 7-1 conference decision to Clackamas on Friday afternoon. Baseball proved challenging for the Riverhawks as they managed just six hits in the road loss.

Clackamas struck early with two runs in the opening frame and added five more in the seventh inning to pull away. The Riverhawks' lone run came in the sixth inning when Jackson Thomsen crossed the plate, driven home by Trevor Ratliff's RBI.

Shiloh Wilson provided the brightest spot offensively for UCC, going 2-for-3 from the leadoff position. Thomsen reached base twice with a hit and a walk while scoring the team's only run. Starting pitcher Tristan Ledbetter kept the Riverhawks in the game through six innings, allowing just two earned runs on five hits.

Clackamas capitalized on UCC's struggles with command, as Riverhawk pitchers issued nine walks on the afternoon. Luke Kovac led the Cougars' attack with two hits and two runs scored, while Aaron Menchaca drove in three runs despite collecting just one hit.
