Tristan Ledbetter threw seven shutout innings as the UCC Riverhawks baseball team dominated Mt Hood 4-1 at home Sunday in conference action.

Ledbetter was masterful on the mound, allowing just four hits while striking out two and walking one to earn the victory. The sophomore right-hander kept Mt Hood off balance all afternoon, retiring the side in order four times. Tyler Miller closed out the final two innings for the save, surrendering only one unearned run in the seventh.

Offensively, the Riverhawks got production throughout the lineup. Shiloh Wilson led the way with a 2-for-4 performance, scoring twice from the leadoff spot. Jeremiah Robbins drove in two runs despite managing just one hit, while Taylor Davis contributed an RBI single and scored a run.

UCC broke the scoreless tie in the fourth inning, then added two crucial insurance runs in the sixth. The Riverhawks put the game away with a final run in the eighth, building a comfortable cushion that proved vital when Mt Hood finally broke through in the seventh.

Mt Hood starter Anthony Leo pitched well in defeat, throwing six innings and allowing just three earned runs. Jordan Araiza provided the lone RBI for the visitors with a 1-for-1 effort that included a walk.

The victory improves UCC to 22-14 overall as the Riverhawks continue their push through conference play. The strong pitching performance sets up momentum heading into their next conference matchup.
