South Umpqua Lancers Softball 3-1 North Valley

Seven wins in eight tries has South Umpqua softball rolling through the early portion of the spring season. The Lancers added another tally to their win column Tuesday afternoon with a 3-1 home victory over North Valley in non-league softball action.
South Umpqua controlled the contest from start to finish, manufacturing just enough offense while keeping the visiting Warriors at bay. The Lancers managed to plate three runs while limiting North Valley to a single score in what proved to be a well-executed team performance.
The victory maintains South Umpqua's impressive 7-1 record and demonstrates the program's consistency through the season's opening weeks. With league play on the horizon, the Lancers are building the type of momentum that could carry them deep into postseason competition.
Tuesday's win showcased South Umpqua's ability to handle business against quality non-league competition, a skill that will serve them well as the schedule intensifies. The Lancers will look to keep their hot streak alive when they return to action later this week.
