Mt Hood's explosive offense overwhelmed the UCC Riverhawks in a 13-0 conference softball loss on the road Sunday, as the Saints scored in every inning to hand the visitors a decisive defeat.

The Saints wasted no time establishing control, plating three runs in the first inning before adding six more in the second to put the game out of reach early. Mt Hood's Chloe Mckenzie led the offensive barrage with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, driving in four runs and scoring twice. Taylor Donahue matched that output with three hits, three runs scored, and two RBIs.

The Riverhawks managed just one hit against Mt Hood's pitching tandem of Gracie Huston and Aubree Ogee. Second baseman Natalie Hudson collected UCC's lone safety in her 1-for-2 effort, while shortstop Jordan McArthur drew the team's only walk.

UCC used three pitchers in the shortened contest, with London O'Brien getting the start before Cambria Bachmeier and Kasey Ogan saw relief duty. The Saints collected 12 hits total while keeping the Riverhawks off the scoreboard entirely.

The loss drops UCC to 4-3 overall as they continue navigating their conference schedule. The Riverhawks will look to bounce back quickly from this setback and refocus on getting their offensive rhythm back in upcoming games. Road conference matchups like these provide valuable experience as the season progresses toward playoff positioning.
