UCC Riverhawks Softball 7-1 Clark

Kasey Ogan struck out two batters and allowed just three hits over seven innings, leading the UCC Riverhawks to a dominant 7-1 conference softball victory over Clark on Tuesday.

The Riverhawks offense exploded for four runs in the second inning to seize control early. Jordan McArthur paced the attack from the shortstop position, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Amanda Lloyd added two hits and crossed the plate once, while London O'Brien contributed two hits from the second base spot.

Lexie Gidcumb provided offensive spark from the leadoff position, reaching base four times with a hit and two walks while scoring twice. Gracie Mello drove in two runs despite managing just one hit on the day.

Clark managed to scratch across their lone run in the third inning when Dajah Paz drove in Delaney Bollman, but Ogan settled in to blank the opposition the rest of the way. The Riverhawks answered immediately with two runs in the fourth to maintain their commanding lead.

Clark starter Shayla Seppala took the loss despite allowing no earned runs, as UCC collected 10 hits while drawing three walks against her.

The victory improves UCC to 7-24 overall as they continue conference play. The Riverhawks will look to build momentum from this strong all-around performance when they return to action.
