Eib dominated from the first pitch, allowing no hits or walks while facing just 15 batters in the five-inning mercy rule victory. The Riverhawks managed to put the ball in play but couldn't find gaps against Lower Columbia's defense.
UCC starter Cambria Bachmeier struggled with command early, walking six batters in just 2.1 innings of work. Lower Columbia capitalized on the free passes, plating five runs in the opening frame and adding three more in the second. Kasey Ogan provided 1.2 innings of relief, allowing just one walk.
Alisyn Parkin led Lower Columbia's offensive attack, going 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs. Avery Garvey added two RBIs despite recording just one hit, drawing two walks in the victory.
The loss drops the Riverhawks to 6-20 overall as they continue to battle through a challenging conference schedule. UCC's young roster has faced quality pitching throughout the season, providing valuable experience for future campaigns.
The Riverhawks will look to regroup when they return to Douglas County for their next home series. With several conference games remaining, UCC aims to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
