UCC Riverhawks Womens Basketball 104-93 Clark

Clark's Mia Hicks-Oliver and Emily Peabody combined for 62 points, but the Riverhawks had an answer for every challenge in a thrilling double-overtime women's basketball victory, 104-93, on the road Friday night.

UCC's balanced attack proved too much for the hosts, with three players scoring over 24 points. Adrianne Tupolo led the way with 26 points on efficient 11-21 shooting, while Giselle Muffett added 25 points with four three-pointers. Kaelyn Shoemaker contributed 24 points and seven rebounds in 38 minutes of action.

The game remained tight throughout regulation and the first overtime period. UCC managed just 54 points through regulation, trailing the pace that would eventually see them eclipse 100 points. The Riverhawks found another gear in the overtime periods, outscoring Clark 50-39 over the two extra sessions.

Rebekah Beltran provided crucial playmaking with four assists, while Sydnee Muntifering grabbed six rebounds off the bench. Despite Hicks-Oliver's game-high 31 points and Peabody's perfect 10-10 free throw shooting, Clark couldn't match UCC's depth in the extended battle.

The conference victory improves the Riverhawks to 15-5 overall as they continue building momentum in league play. UCC's ability to win a grinding road game against quality opposition shows the program's maturity heading into the stretch run of the season.
