UCC Riverhawks Womens Basketball 75-67 South Puget Sound

Four Riverhawks scored in double figures as UCC women's basketball survived a grueling double-overtime battle, defeating South Puget Sound 75-67 on the road to improve to 15-5 overall.
The non-conference thriller saw the Riverhawks build a 24-9 first-half lead before the Clippers stormed back to force overtime with late-game heroics. UCC regrouped in the extra periods, outscoring South Puget Sound 32-0 across both overtimes to seal the victory.
Giselle Muffett and Kaelyn Shoemaker led the balanced attack with 18 points each. Muffett knocked down four three-pointers and played all 40 minutes in the marathon contest, while Shoemaker dominated inside with six rebounds and two blocks. Point guard Rebekah Beltran added 17 points and eight assists, orchestrating the offense through regulation and overtime.
Marlee Reupena contributed 15 points and five assists, giving the Riverhawks four players in double figures. The depth proved crucial as UCC weathered foul trouble and fatigue in the extended contest.
South Puget Sound's Jaynee Tanner put on a show with 32 points and perfect 13-for-13 free throw shooting, but her teammates managed just 35 points combined as UCC's defense clamped down when it mattered most.
The victory extends UCC's strong season as the Riverhawks continue building momentum heading into the final stretch. With a 15-5 record, UCC has positioned itself well for postseason consideration while gaining valuable experience in pressure-packed games like this double-overtime thriller.
