The UCC Riverhawks women's basketball team delivered their most dominant performance in weeks, overwhelming Portland 89-60 in a non-conference showcase at home Tuesday night. The 29-point victory marked one of the largest margins of the season for the Riverhawks, who improved to 23-10 overall with just weeks remaining in their campaign.

UCC controlled the game from the opening tip, building what appeared to be an insurmountable lead against the visiting Pilots. The Riverhawks' balanced attack and suffocating defense created a perfect storm that Portland simply couldn't weather, as UCC poured in 89 points while holding their opponents to just 60.

The blowout victory comes at an ideal time for Douglas County's team, as they continue building momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. With 33 games under their belt, the Riverhawks have shown remarkable resilience to reach the 23-win plateau despite facing a challenging schedule throughout the year.

Portland, typically a competitive non-conference opponent, had no answer for UCC's offensive firepower and defensive intensity on this night. The Riverhawks appeared to click on all cylinders, executing their game plan to near perfection.

As the regular season winds down, performances like Tuesday's demonstrate the kind of basketball UCC will need to maintain if they hope to make a deep postseason run. The Riverhawks return to action later this week.
