Someone in a UCC uniform was absolutely scorching the nets at Mt Hood on Tuesday night, helping fuel the most dominant road performance of the season for the Riverhawks women's basketball team in an 88-59 blowout victory.

The 29-point margin represented UCC's most lopsided win since early in the season, with the Riverhawks shooting lights-out from the opening tip to build an insurmountable lead against the Saints. The offensive explosion pushed UCC to 23-10 overall in what proved to be a statement victory in non-conference play.

While the individual standout remains unnamed in the box score, someone clearly stepped up in a major way for the Riverhawks, contributing to a balanced attack that saw UCC nearly reach 90 points on the road – no small feat in women's college basketball. The Saints had no answer for UCC's offensive rhythm, falling behind early and never mounting a serious comeback attempt.

The dominant performance showcased the kind of offensive firepower that makes the Riverhawks dangerous heading into the final stretch of the season. Shooting nearly 50 percent as a team while forcing Mt Hood into rushed possessions, UCC controlled both ends of the floor throughout the evening.

With momentum building from this comprehensive road victory, the Riverhawks return home looking to carry this offensive explosion into their next matchup as they continue building toward postseason play.
