Clackamas brought a physical, fast-paced attack to the UCC gymnasium Tuesday night, using a balanced offensive effort to hand the Riverhawks a 74-63 defeat in women's basketball action.

The Riverhawks battled throughout the non-conference matchup, keeping pace with their visitors for much of the contest before Clackamas pulled away in the final minutes. UCC showed flashes of the form that has carried them to a strong 23-10 overall record this season, but couldn't quite match the Cougars' intensity on both ends of the floor.

Despite the loss, the Riverhawks demonstrated resilience against a quality opponent, refusing to fold when Clackamas built leads throughout the second half. UCC's offensive execution showed promise, particularly in transition, though turnovers at crucial moments proved costly against the aggressive Cougar defense.

The 11-point margin doesn't fully reflect how competitive this game remained deep into the second half, with the Riverhawks staying within striking distance until the final minutes. Clackamas ultimately used their depth and conditioning to wear down UCC in the closing stretch.

At 23-10, the Riverhawks remain in solid position as they continue building toward postseason play. This non-conference test against a strong Clackamas squad provided valuable experience that should serve UCC well as they face the challenges ahead in their remaining schedule.
