The UCC Riverhawks women's basketball team couldn't quite complete a comeback bid in a 74-69 road loss to Clackamas on Tuesday night, falling just short in what proved to be a competitive non-conference battle.

The five-point defeat drops the Riverhawks to 23-10 overall as they continue building toward postseason play. Despite the loss, UCC showed resilience in keeping pace with the home team throughout what appeared to be a back-and-forth affair at Clackamas.

The narrow margin suggests the Riverhawks were in striking distance late, making this a game that could have easily swung either way. Road games are never easy, particularly against quality non-conference opponents, and UCC's ability to stay within single digits demonstrates the team's competitive spirit.

At 23-10, the Riverhawks have already compiled an impressive record this season, and one road loss won't derail their momentum as they head into the final stretch of their schedule. The experience of playing in hostile environments like Clackamas should serve them well when postseason intensity ramps up.

UCC will look to bounce back from this setback and return to their winning ways. With their strong overall record intact, the Riverhawks remain well-positioned for what they hope will be a deep postseason run in the coming weeks.
