The Riverhawks battled through a back-and-forth affair at Linn-Benton Tuesday night, but couldn't quite close the gap in a 75-68 women's basketball loss that snapped their momentum heading into the stretch run.

UCC kept pace with the Roadrunners throughout much of the contest, with the seven-point final margin suggesting a competitive game that could have swung either way down the stretch. The non-conference matchup provided a solid test for both programs, with neither team able to pull away decisively until the closing minutes.

The loss drops the Riverhawks to 23-10 overall, still an impressive record that reflects the program's strong season to this point. While Tuesday's result wasn't what UCC hoped for on the road, the team has shown resilience throughout the campaign and maintained a winning standard that has defined their year.

Linn-Benton capitalized on home court advantage to edge out the victory, but the Riverhawks proved they could compete away from Douglas County against quality opposition. The seven-point differential suggests UCC was in position to steal a road win but couldn't execute in crucial moments.

With conference play and potential postseason positioning still ahead, the Riverhawks will look to bounce back from this setback and return to their winning ways. Tuesday's competitive showing, despite the loss, demonstrates the team's ability to compete at a high level as they prepare for the final stretch of their season.
