UCC Riverhawks Mens Basketball 93-82 Lane
Jackson Taylor buried four three-pointers and scored 16 points to spark UCC's offensive explosion in a 93-82 men's basketball victory at Lane on Tuesday night.
The Riverhawks put together one of their most complete offensive performances of the season, shooting efficiently from all areas of the court while maintaining their scoring balance throughout both halves. UCC led 46-41 at intermission before matching that output with 47 second-half points to pull away from the Titans.
Taylor led the way with his 6-of-10 shooting performance, including that deadly 4-of-7 mark from beyond the arc. Mikey Lloyd added 15 points and knocked down 7-of-8 free throws, while Caden Hunter contributed 13 points and a game-high four blocks. Jackson McKee chipped in 12 points on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting, and Jack Anderton orchestrated the offense with five assists to go with his 11 points.
Lane's Noah Salmon kept the Titans competitive with a game-high 25 points and six steals, but UCC's depth and balanced scoring proved too much to overcome on the road.
The victory improves the Riverhawks to 20-3 overall, marking another milestone in what's shaping up to be a special season. UCC's ability to score efficiently while getting contributions from multiple players continues to be their calling card as conference play intensifies.
The Riverhawks return home for their next conference matchup as they look to build on this momentum.
